Own it!

Posted on 09.17.10 by Paula Hendricks | Twitter: @PaulaWrites678

Nancy Leigh DeMoss recently finished recording a new radio series (over 40 radio programs!) on the statements in the True Woman Manifesto. (You can catch the tail end of her teaching today through September 22.)

In the video below, Nancy shares how the Lord’s really challenged her to become more of a true woman of God as she’s grappled with each of the statements in the manifesto.

How about you? How long has it been since you read this manifesto? Signed it? Owned it?

It’s not that the manifesto has some incredible, inherent value on its own—we just keep talking about it because this document reflects and outlines God’s heart for womanhood as found in Scripture.

Join women from over 100 countries around the world who have signed—and are seeking to live out—the True Woman Manifesto by God’s daily grace.

(If it’s been awhile since you’ve been through the manifesto, I encourage you to walk through this interactive version—explore each statement with related links featuring videos, blog posts, radio transcripts, and more. Or, order some of the manifesto resources Nancy mentioned on the video here.)

  1. I purchased the book with high hopes of ROH doing a book blog as they did with Girls Gone Wise but later realized other bloggers were going to read the book and blog each chapter. I was following a few of these blogs for a couple of weeks then they just stopped posting! If anyone knows of a blog that has completed this whole book, please share!

    Thanks!

  2. Actually Carrie the title to that was "Are you a fellow blogger" and it was posted on 5-14-10 by Paula Hendricks. The offer was to receive the book free if you agreed to blog your personal take on each of the nine chapters by September 1st. Since today is Sept. 17th, I doubt you will find any continued blogs, but I will search and certainly let you know if I find any. I'm sure there were some bloggers that fulfilled the obligation they committed too so just keep searching!

I know I often commit to do so many things I fail in getting them all done! That is one area of my life I am going to work on. Instead of being so busy running around.........I want to slow down, and become available for God to use me in HIS ways, not my own.

    Thanks ROH!

  3. Hey, Carrie,

The first blogger who came to mind was Dawn Wilson, of "Heart Choices Today." Her first post on the "Voices of the True Woman Movement" book was on June 2, 2010. You can read it here:
