I remember the first time someone suggested I think about moving to Louisville, Kentucky. I’m not sure I even knew where Kentucky was, and the stereotypes I had in my mind were less than appealing.
Fast forward eight years, and I can honestly say that my time in Kentucky has a special place in my heart. You see, I moved to Louisville, KY to attend The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary after sensing and being affirmed in a call to ministry.
During my four years as a student, I experienced so many spiritual blessings. From gaining like-minded friends who are more like family, to sitting under the teaching of some of the wisest, most godly faculty members around, to having my eyes opened to riches and depths of God’s Word I had never known.
God truly transformed me and made Christ more precious to me during my time at SBTS, which is why I’m thrilled to announce an exciting partnership between Revive Our Hearts and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
If you are an undergraduate or graduate student at any school, you have the opportunity to earn three hours of transferable credit from SBTS by attending True Woman ’12. All you need to do is:
- Sign up for the SBTS class
- Sign up for the True Woman ’12 Conference
- Complete the additional class work required, which includes reading and writing a reflection paper.
I once heard Nancy Leigh DeMoss say that right theology should always lead to doxology. In other words, as we grow in our understanding of God and the sound doctrines of His Word, our first response should be to adore and worship Him for who He is and what He has done. I can hardly think of a partnership that will be more faithful to foster this combination in your soul and send you out to impact the world for His Kingdom!
So, if you’re a student, will you consider joining over 7,800 ladies this September to seek the Lord for His work in our hearts—a work that will impact future generations? We’re just over two weeks away and the Convention Center is filling up fast, so register today!
