It’s that time! Many of you are pulling out your suitcase and packing it full to come to True Woman ’12. If you’re like me, you’ve been agonizing for days (okay, maybe even weeks) over what you’ll wear. But have you considered what “attitude” or “spirit” you’ll be packing, and which one you’ll be leaving behind? I asked the Revive Our Hearts team this question, and here’s what they had to say:
True Woman ’12 Responsibility: Conference director
Leaving behind: Selfish ambition, pride, and my right to sleep or to have things go my way
Packing: “Love, joy, peace, patience, long suffering . . .” well, you get the picture.
Lord let me be a servant to all . . . “for I, too, am a man under authority” (Luke 7:8).
TW12 Responsibility: Edit and upload True Woman blogs and work in the Resource Center
Leaving behind: My fears of not finishing all my tasks in time
Packing: A focus on individuals over my tasks
TW12 Responsibility: Prayer room
Leaving behind: Fear of failure, fear of rejection, and self-consciousness
Packing: Faith, hope, love, joy, gratefulness, and purpose
TW12 Responsibility: Leading 450 volunteers
Leaving behind: Selfish ambition (My way, my time, for my benefit)
Packing: Submission (God’s way, God’s time, for God’s glory)
TW12 Responsibility: Leadership and spiritual protection
Leaving behind: Task mentality
Packing: Anticipation and a servant’s heart
TW12 Responsibility: Resource Center and Prayer Room
Leaving Behind: Expectations (I will get to do this and this and this.)
Packing: Flexibility—I’ll serve wherever needed. (And I’m bringing comfortable walking shoes!)
TW12 responsibility: Audio recording and processing, and encouraging everyone with whom I come into contact.
Leaving behind: Worry. God has all the details under control. Nothing else matters.
Packing: Granola bars for the belly and Ibuprofen for the muscle aches
TW12 Responsibility: Hosting TW12 LIVE stream
Leaving behind: A spirit of fear (2 Tim. 1:7)
Packing: The shield of faith (Eph. 6:16)

Packing: Patience and a big smile
TW12 Responsibility: Assistant to Nancy Leigh DeMoss
Leaving behind: My rights to more sleep, my needs, my time

- A quiet heart to hear from God and to listen to the prompting of His Spirit
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints . . .” (Eph. 6).
TW12 Responsibility: Registration and Information
Leaving behind: The suitcase of own strength and ability!
Packing: Christ in me (actually He goes everywhere with me) for grace and opportunities to be His light.
True Woman Responsibilities: Touching the hem of His garment with others desperate for His touch (prayer room)
Leaving behind: Fears, decisions, and desire for approval
Packing: Eager expectation to see Him do more than I can even imagine!

Now it’s your turn. Even if you’re just watching the LIVE stream of the conference on TrueWoman12.com, which attitude do you plan to bring, and which one will you leave behind?
