I love questions! They provide me (and others) the opportunity to think about matters that wouldn’t naturally cross our minds.
I felt like a little girl on Christmas morning when Nancy sent our staff 31 questions to ask at the start of a New Year (by Donald S. Whitney)! I’d like to share them with you as you consider how you want to live in 2009.
Please don’t let these questions overwhelm you. As Mr. Whitney says, their value is:
“. . . in the simple fact that they bring an issue or commitment into focus. For example, just by articulating which person you most want to encourage this year is more likely to help you remember to encourage that person than if you hadn’t considered the question.”
So, happy evaluating!
PS: I also love questions because of the rich insights I receive about others when they answer them. So, if you’re feeling particularly brave, would you share one or more of your answers here on the blog?
