Your words have power, friend! Whether your husband is a Potiphar, a Pilate, or Joe Schmo, he's listening to what you whisper in his ear. How will you use your power to sway?

We enjoyed our lunch and conversation, paid the check, and headed out to the car. Then it happened. She said these words: "Wouldn't it be neat if some parents taught their children to memorize the entire book of Proverbs before they left home?" I didn't say anything, but what I was thinking was, "Oh yeah, that would be neat . . . for some other parents!"

One of the first rules for proper conversation is to avoid the topics of sex and politics. I’m about to tackle both. There’s trouble brewing in the political realm. As a result of a recent mandate by the Obama administration, the issue at hand is the future of religious liberty.

In many ways, that is what Black History Month is to African-Americans. It is a time to remember and re-tell the story of how God moved on our behalf throughout history--eradicating slavery and opening doors

Tonight I landed in Santo Domingo once again and walked into the
Revive Our Hearts Conference--which was being held in the new IBI building. It was an impressive feat, and a physical representation of the faithful perseverance and Godward trust of the people of IBI. The building, gleaming in the warm Dominican evening, was faintly redolent of new paint. Inside were 3,000 women . . .
