Lies Young Women Believe LIVE is an interactive way for girls in grades 9-12 to experience the best-selling book Lies Young Women Believe: And the Truth That Sets Them Free by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Dannah Gresh. In this game show meets talk show format, Dannah Gresh and Erin Davis will look at lies about beauty, the future, and especially lies about guys. In a survey of over 1,200 Christian teen girls—including home-schooled, public-schooled, and Christian-schooled respondents—lies about guys proved to be the most universally threatening to their relationship with God. Those lies and the other most-debated on the Lies Young Women Believe website will be addressed with deep biblical teaching, transparent stories, and humor in this special track for teens.
Dannah Gresh is a mother/daughter communications coach and the best-selling author of And the Bride Wore White and co-author with Nancy Leigh DeMoss of Lies Young Women Believe (February ’08). Recently, she has focused her efforts on tween girls who are under assault by our culture by founding Secret Keeper Girl live events for tweens and their moms and writing a book for moms entitled Six Ways To Keep The Little In Your Girl: Guiding Your Daughter from Her Tweens to Her Teens (September 2010). She’s a frequent guest on programs such as FamilyLife Today, Midday Connection, and The 700 Club.
Erin Davis will emcee the teen track, bringing lively games and contests to the day. You might recognize her as the host of LiesYoungWomenBelieve.com. She’s also the co-author of the Lies Young Woman Believe Companion Guide and the author of her own book on true beauty entitled Graffiti: Learning To See The Art In Ourselves.
